Robert Miles，意大利音乐人，出生于瑞士，1994年他发行了单曲 《Children》，这首在4米见方的车库中写就的处女作反映的是他在看完从前南地区执行完人道主义任务归来的父亲所拍的照片后，对其中儿童成为战争的牺牲品最直接，最具代表性的感受。<br>
他的音乐的特色是没有强烈的节拍，作为一名钢琴师，他更愿意通过键盘来实现他煽情的效果。这也是他能取得成功的重要原因之一。《Children》一曲由键盘而带出的流行张力，席卷了欧洲多个国家，取得了极大的成功。他也因此曲而声名大噪。<br>
这位意大利叔叔为孩子们和大人们编织好了一堆梦幻。孩子的梦永远和玩具、冰淇淋和阳光联系在一起，一不小心，还会在梦里“画地图”。可谁又不羡慕孩子的梦境呢？Robert Miles要求听这张专辑的人闭上眼睛，感受宁静，在音乐带入的梦境里，找寻失去的童稚情趣，让音乐将你催眠。他确实做到了。小孩听来，这段音乐轻松活泼，犹如梦见了水晶宫和云层上面的奇异花园。大人听来，这段音乐却最最伤感，犹如看着自己的童年在相片上慢慢逝去。
